The Board of Directors of Essex Savings Bank is pleased to announce that Lynn K. Giroux, former Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Essex Savings Bank, has assumed the new role of Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and Nathan Bordeleau, formerly Assistant Vice President and Head of Credit at Essex Savings Bank, has been promoted to Vice President and Head of Credit.
Giroux has nearly 40 years of banking experience, the last 22 of which at Essex Savings Bank, where she oversees human resources, compliance, branch administration, deposit operations, loan administration and facilities. In addition to her professional responsibilities, Giroux has chaired the CBA Financial Education Center and Bankers Forums, is an Ambassador and Member of the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce, serves on the Camp Hazen YMCA Board of Directors and chairs its finance committee, and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Professionals, the American Bankers Association, and the Connecticut Bankers Association. She has participated as a panelist at the Vermont Bankers Association Women in Leadership Conference, Connecticut Bankers Association, and other compliance-related organizations. Giroux is an advocate for the community banking industry.
Giroux was the recipient of the Women of FIRE 2014 (Finance, Insurance and Real Estate), a prestigious award awarded by The Commercial Record to women who have achieved excellence and are making a difference in these fields traditionally dominated by men. Giroux is a graduate of the University of Vermont, as well as the New England School of Banking.
Bordeleau began his career at Essex Savings Bank in April 2013 as a credit analyst. He continued to advance his position at Essex Savings Bank and in 2019 he took on the role of Assistant Vice President and Chief Credit Officer.
Bordeleau received his BSBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. He then continued his studies at New Hampshire’s New England College where he obtained his MSA in Accounting. Bordeleau is also a graduate of the New England Leadership Development Program 2016 and, in 2021, obtained his certification in credit risk from the Risk Management Association.
