Wakefield, Massachusetts Ed Fitzgerald joined The Savings Bank as Vice President – Commercial Lender. Fitzgerald’s new appointment marks his return to the bank, having held the same position from 2008 to 2012.
Fitzgerald brings nearly 20 years of commercial lending experience to a relationship management role at the Savings Bank. Most recently, he worked for another community bank, where he was responsible for developing and managing the expansion of the bank’s business portfolio, as well as managing the admissions and inter-departmental coordination of the program. Over the years, Fitzgerald has been involved in financing real estate investments – both mixed-use, multi-family, and commercial – and construction and development, as well as lending to small businesses, primarily in the north. -est of Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire.
In addition to his role as a commercial lender, Fitzgerald’s previous work assignments have included wealth management roles.
Fitzgerald received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts at the Amherst Isenberg School of Management, and his MBA, Management and Finance from Northeastern University. He and his wife, Gabriella, reside in North Andover.
