When you open a savings account, you get a check book from SBI Bank. The account holder’s mobile number will be saved. The specially designed personalized check book will contain 10 check leaves and will be issued to the guardian on behalf of the minor under guardianship.
SBI will provide an embossed photo debit card for children with a withdrawal/POS limit of Rs 5000/-. The card is issued in the name of the minor and the guardian. There will be viewing rights and limited transactions such as bill payments, recharges and a transaction limit per day of Rs 2000/-.

2. PehlIUdaan
There will be checkbook availability. The account holder’s mobile number must be registered. The specially designed personalized checkbook will have 10 check sheets and will be issued in case the minor can sign uniformly. SBI will provide an ATM photo debit card. There will be an embossed photo ATM with debit with a withdrawal/POS limit of Rs 5000/- and it will be issued in the name of the miner. It will allow the payment of bills, recharges and IMPS. The transaction limit per day will be Rs 2000/-. SBI offers additional functionality with an auto-scan feature with a minimum threshold of Rs 20,000/-. Users can swipe in multiples of Rs 1000.- with a minimum of Rs 10,000/-.

3. How to open the minor account?
You can open both offline and online accounts. You just need to visit the bank’s website sbi.co.in and access the personal banking section. Click on the Account tab and select “Savings account for minors”. After clicking on the “Apply Now” button, you will be redirected to a new page, the SBI YONO website. Now here you have to click on the option “Open a digital account”. After pressing the “Apply Now” button, you will need to fill in the necessary details. You must also go to the nearest bank branch in order to complete the process and open your minor’s account.
