Union Savings Bank Board of Directors Promotes Jeff McDonough to Executive Vice President

Union Savings Bank (USB) announces that Jeff McDonough has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Community Relations and will join the bank’s Executive Committee. He will also continue to sit on the bank’s board of directors. The announcement was made at a recent USB board meeting.

McDonough, whose human resources experience in the healthcare and banking industries spans 37 years, joined USB in 2015 as Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer. Since that time, he has provided oversight to several departments including Human Resources, Learning & Development, and Community Relations.

“During his tenure at Union Savings Bank, Jeff made many significant contributions in his role as Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer,” said Cynthia C. Merkle, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank. . “He led many initiatives, including our efforts to create a more diverse and inclusive environment for our employees and customers. Over the past two years, he and his team have been instrumental in navigating us through the pandemic. As Executive Vice President and member of USB’s Board of Directors, we will continue to count on him for his support and wise counsel on current and future strategic initiatives. »

McDonough holds a Bachelor of Science degree from State University of New York College at Oswego. He is a member of the board of directors of the Union Savings Bank Foundation and is chairman of the board of directors of Ann’s Place, Danbury, CT, a community cancer support center. McDonough is also a board member of CityCenter Danbury. He currently resides in Poughkeepsie, NY.
